Aegis–Phenix Inc. (“we” or “the Company”) establishes the following privacy policy (the “Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information on this website.

Article 1 (Personal information)
“Personal information” means personal information as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information: information about a living individual which can identify that individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details or other description contained in the information, as well as data relating to appearance, fingerprints or voiceprints, and information that alone can identify a specific individual, such as a health insurance card number (personal identification codes).
Article 2 (How we collect personal information)
When you contact us, we collect personal information such as your name, organization, email address, subject and the content of your inquiry.
Article 3 (Purposes of collection and use)
We collect and use personal information for the following purposes.
- To respond to inquiries and make any other necessary contact
- To address discussions regarding partnership, collaboration and investment
- To plan and advance our services and research and development
- To provide information about our services, including invitations to events and seminars we host or exhibit at

Article 4 (Changes to the purposes of use)
We will change the purposes of use of personal information only where it is reasonably recognized that the new purpose is related to the previous one. If we change the purposes of use, we will notify users of the revised purpose by the method we prescribe, or publish it on this website.
Article 5 (Provision to third parties)
We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent, except in the following cases or where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
- Where it is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- Where it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by either, in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual would impede those affairs
- Where we have notified or announced the following matters in advance and filed a report with the Personal Information Protection Commission (that the purposes of use include provision to third parties; the items of data to be provided; the means or method of provision; that provision will be discontinued at the request of the individual; and how such requests are accepted)
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipient shall not be deemed a third party in the following cases.
- Where we entrust all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
- Where personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other reason
- Where personal information is used jointly with specific parties, and we have notified the individual in advance, or placed in an easily accessible state, the fact of such joint use, the items used jointly, the scope of the joint users, their purposes of use, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information
Article 6 (Disclosure of personal information)
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, we will verify that the request comes from the individual and disclose the information in accordance with applicable law. However, we may withhold all or part of the information where disclosure would fall under any of the following, and we will notify the individual without delay if we decide not to disclose.
- Where disclosure risks harming the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
- Where disclosure risks significantly impeding the proper conduct of our business
- Where disclosure would violate laws or regulations
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, we do not, as a rule, disclose information other than personal information, such as history and attribute information.
Article 7 (Correction and deletion)
If the personal information we hold about a user is incorrect, the user may request that we correct, add to or delete it (“correction, etc.”) through the procedures we prescribe.
If we receive such a request and determine that we should comply, we will verify that the request comes from the individual and carry out the correction, etc. without delay.
We will notify the user without delay when we have carried out a correction, etc. under the preceding paragraph, or when we decide not to do so.
Article 8 (Suspension of use)
If an individual requests that we suspend or erase their personal information (“suspension of use, etc.”) on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, we will verify that the request comes from the individual and conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
If, based on the results of that investigation, we determine that we should comply with the request, we will carry out the suspension of use, etc. without delay.
We will notify the user without delay when we have carried out a suspension of use, etc. under the preceding paragraph, or when we decide not to do so.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, where a suspension of use, etc. would require substantial expense or would otherwise be difficult, and alternative measures are available that are necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user, we will take such alternative measures.
Article 9 (Security management)
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information and otherwise manage it securely.
This website uses SSL/TLS encrypted communication, and the content you enter into the contact form is transmitted in encrypted form.
Article 10 (Cookies)
A cookie is data sent from a web server to a web browser. By referring to cookies, a web server can identify a user’s computer and allow the website to be used efficiently. The files this website sends as cookies do not contain information that identifies an individual. You can also disable cookies through your web browser settings.
Article 11 (Analytics)
This website may use Google Analytics, an access analysis tool provided by Google, in order to improve our service. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data. This data is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals. You can refuse this collection by disabling cookies. Article 12 (Bot protection)
To prevent fraudulent submissions by automated programs (bots), the contact form on this website uses Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc.
When this feature is used, information such as your IP address, browser type and interaction data is transmitted to Cloudflare, Inc. This information is used solely to determine whether a submission is fraudulent, and is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

Article 13 (Changes to this policy)
Except for matters otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, the content of this Policy may be changed without notice to users.
